Statement of Faith

THE BIBLE

  • We believe the Bible is God’s infallible Word and is the only valid source of Christian doctrine. (II Timothy 3:16)
  • We believe it is God’s revelation of Himself to mankind and tells us how to live a holy life that is pleasing to Him. (John 5:39; II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:3)
  • We believe God’s Word is the complete and final authority. (Hebrews 4:12)

GODHEAD

  • We believe that there is one true and living God (Ephesians 4:5, Deuteronomy 6:4)
  • We believe in one God who was “manifest in the flesh” (I Timothy 3:16) and dwells within us. (II Timothy 1:14; John 14:17)
  • We believe Jesus is the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. (John 5:43, Matthew 1:21-23, John 14:26)
  • We believe that the fullness of the Godhead dwelt in Jesus bodily. (Colossians 2:9)

SALVATION

  • We believe that salvation comes only through believing and obeying the Gospel. (Mark 16:15-16)
  • We believe the Gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (I Corinthians 15:1-4)
  • We obey the Gospel by identifying with Jesus Christ in His death through repentance, His burial through baptism in Jesus’ name, and His resurrection when we receive the promised gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38, Romans 6:1-11)
  • We believe in the necessity of Jesus name baptism (Acts 2:38, Acts 8:16, Acts 19:5)

OUR WORSHIP

  • While understanding the importance of worship in the House of God, it is important to note that our worship and praise unto God is part of our everyday lives. (1 Peter 2:9)
  • We find God’s prescription for praise in Psalms (150:1-6) It gives us the where, why, how, with what, what level of praise, and who. We are uniquely created to worship and praise God and should do so without shame. (Psalms 34:1, Psalms 47:1, Psalms 134:2, Psalms 146:2)

APOSTLES’ DOCTRINE

  • We teach and preach the Apostles’ doctrine (Acts 2:42) and believe in living separated and consecrated lives to our Savior. (Romans 12:1; II Corinthians 6:17)
